Support Misty’s Campaign

There are two ways to get involved in Misty Olsen’s campaign for Colwood Council: make a financial contribution or volunteer your time. Every contribution helps us connect with residents, share Misty’s priorities and build a strong community campaign.

Campaign contributions help cover the costs of signs, printed materials, community outreach, digital communications and other campaign activities.

To contribute, you must:

• Be an individual who lives in British Columbia
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Use your own personal funds
• Not be reimbursed by another person or organization
• Stay within the 2026 contribution limit of $1,429.70

Businesses, organizations, unions and other groups cannot contribute.

Contributions of $100 or more must be publicly reported with the contributor’s name and contribution amount. Contributions to local election campaigns are not eligible for a tax receipt. 

Cheques must be made payable exactly as follows:

Please do not make the cheque payable to “Misty Olsen Campaign” or use any other variation.

To arrange pickup, contact Misty at olsenforcolwood@gmail.com. Misty will coordinate a convenient time to collect your cheque.

Cheque contributions are subject to the same eligibility requirements and contribution limits as online contributions. Contributions must be made using the contributor’s own personal funds. Campaign contributions can legally be accepted by cheque, and all campaign funds must be deposited through the campaign’s dedicated account.

A local campaign is built by people who care about their community. Whether you have a few hours or want to be involved throughout the campaign, we would be glad to hear from you.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Delivering campaign materials
• Helping at community events
• Installing or distributing signs
• Making phone calls
• Speaking with residents
• Providing general campaign support

Volunteer work must be provided freely and without payment. If you are self-employed and would normally charge for the professional service you are offering, please let the campaign know before completing the work. Special campaign-financing rules may apply. Complete the volunteer form and someone from the campaign will contact you about ways to get involved.
