If you make a campaign donation through this website, the Misty Olsen Campaign will collect the information required to process and record your contribution. This may include your full legal name, mailing address, residential address if different, email address, donation amount, date received, and confirmation of contributor eligibility.

This information is collected and used to process donations, maintain campaign finance records, confirm contributor eligibility, comply with contribution limits, deposit contributions into the campaign account, and meet reporting obligations under British Columbia local election campaign financing rules.

Campaign contributions may only be accepted from eligible individuals who live in British Columbia and are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Donations from businesses, unions, corporations, organizations, or other groups cannot be accepted.

For the 2026 general local elections, the contribution limit is $1,429.70 per eligible individual to the campaign of any one candidate. This limit includes monetary donations, loans, and the value of any donated property or services.

Online donations cannot be anonymous. Campaign contributions are not eligible for tax receipts.

Contributor information may be disclosed where required by law, including to Elections BC as part of campaign finance reporting. The campaign does not sell personal information or use donation information for unrelated purposes.

Payment information may be processed by a third-party payment provider. If a payment processor withholds service fees, the full amount paid by the contributor is still treated as the campaign contribution amount.
